for each referral that has his or her taxes processed
with us.
Prior to
any of our customers leaving our facility, we
provide each of them a complete analysis and a
copy of their tax return, along with a gift to
show our appreciation for their decision to do
business with us. Colbert/Ball believes that we

our customers; a product that will provide our
customers the best return on their dollar that
the market has to offer. We have one of the top
software packages in the industry, and the best
banking relationship that is custom designed especially

The
Dream that began in Houston, Texas
Colbert/Ball Tax Service was founded by Al Colbert and JaJa Ball in January, 1995 while they were seniors in college. With an unsecured job market, these two individuals decided not to try to predict the future; instead create it!
Colbert/Ball opened the doors to its first location on January 2nd, 1995 in Houston, Texas. During the first year in business, Colbert / Ball Tax Service processed over 270 returns. This benchmark allowed these two young men the opportunity to relocate their main office to the Reliant Park area.
The second year, under the direction of Al Colbert and JaJa Ball, they were able to increase processing to over 570 returns. After doubling the amount of returns from the previous year, Al Colbert and JaJa Ball made a decision to open two additional locations. Their customer base increased to 1800. This was considered to be a break out year.
In the year 2000, Colbert/Ball was operating from four offices and processed over 4000 returns. After one year of success earned by noticeably painstaking hard work, Al Colbert and JaJa Ball implemented an Affiliate program, hence creating opportunities for a vast majority of other entrepreneurs.
In December 2002, CBTS was recognized by the distinguished Black Enterprise Magazine as being one of the best franchise opportunities to invest in. Ebony Magazine soon followed in their February 2003 edition, featuring entrepreneurs 30 and under.
Colbert/Ball Tax Service projected 25,000 returns for the 2002 tax season and by realizing that goal they have since taken a huge step toward becoming the largest tax preparation company in the United States. The focus for 2003 was searching for a vehicle or a program which would afford an opportunity for Colbert / Ball Tax Service to expand its Franchising Opportunities.
Currently, Colbert/Ball, with its corporate headquarters located in Houston, Texas, has added 320 Affiliates in 23 states. Their success garnered CBTS the Pinnacle Award from the Houston Citizens Chamber of Commerce.
CBTS is the fourth largest tax preparation company to franchise in America which marks Colbert / Ball Tax Service as being among the elite of specialized financial services. The emblem symbolizing their success is perched atop the building located at 2616 South Loop West, in Houston, Texas. Thousands of drivers are exposed to their advertisement on a daily basis.
Al Colbert and JaJa Ball believe the success each of have been blessed with stems from their belief in God. Each are equally are aware and have agreed that God must be first in their business decisions and practices, in addition, that God also helps those who help themselves.
The long term goal for Colbert/Ball is to be intrepid, to compete with and surpass the top three tax preparation companies in the United States. By the year 2015, Colbert/Ball Tax Service is expected to be an industry leader with locations in every state in the Union. individual tax returns, Colbert/Ball Tax Service

and State tax returns for individuals and small
businesses. One of the main focuses at CBTS is

Loans (RALS), generally within 24 hours.
